WELCOME TO IKEN BARNS
Iken Barns offers a high standard of self catering accommodation in former farm buildings. Exposed timbers and brickwork give each barn its individual character.
The properties are located in a beautiful riverside location on the Alde River between Snape and Aldeburgh.
Although Iken is only a few minutes from good road networks (The A12) you will forget about the fast pace of every day life and soon feel completely relaxed here.
2009 marks the opening of our newly converted 'Hardy's Barn' which is available for weddings and functions. The Barn is situated up on the cliff looking down over the River Alde and across to the famous St Botolphs church, it creates the perfect setting for intimate wedding celebrations, small gatherings and corporate meetings. We have recently began operating art courses from Hardy's Barn please look at the what's on pages or click on the picture to the left.
For those who enjoy exercise there are extensive footpaths and quiet roads for walkers and 
cyclists. Golf is available locally on classic heathland courses at Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and Thorpness. The Suffolk Heritage coastline offers many places of historical interest. For birdwatchers avocets, bitterns and marsh harriers can be spotted locally. Alternatively you may just want to stay on site and relax with a book. Whatever you choose we are confident you will return home fully recharged.
Available exclusively for guests at Iken Barns is a recently reconstructed barge used for trips on the River Alde. More information is available on our ‘Local Area' Pages.
If you have a well behaved dog we are happy for you to bring them along too. With endless walking locally you will both be disappointed if your four legged friend is left at home!
